About the Role: 

To identify, assess, and respond to the needs of children and families at the earliest opportunity to promote safety, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.

To screen and triage contacts received via the Front Door (formerly MASH), assess levels of risk and need, and determine proportionate responses in line with safeguarding thresholds and statutory guidance.

To undertake Family Help assessments and deliver outcome-focused, evidence-based interventions that strengthen family resilience, reduce risk, and prevent escalation to statutory social care involvement.

To hold and manage Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) cases, working in partnership with families and multi-agency professionals to safeguard children and promote sustained change.

To apply trauma-informed, strengths-based, and relationship-focused practice in all work with children and families.
