Are you an experienced Social Worker looking for your next opportunity in a dynamic Assessment Team? Newport Children's Services on the Isle of Wight are seeking a motivated and dedicated Social Worker to join their frontline Assessment Service. Key Responsibilities
• Undertake Child and Family Assessments in line with statutory requirements.
• Manage a varied caseload involving children in need, child protection, and safeguarding concerns.
• Complete robust risk assessments and formulate effective intervention plans.
• Work closely with multi-agency partners including schools, health professionals, and police.
• Prepare high-quality reports, assessments, and recommendations.
• Attend strategy meetings, child protection conferences, and other statutory meetings.
• Ensure children and families are fully involved in assessment and planning processes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with departmental standards.
Candidate Requirements
• Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Previous experience within a Children's Assessment, Duty & Assessment, or Front Door Team.
• Strong knowledge of relevant childcare legislation and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent assessment, report writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
