About the Role:

Adult Social Care Deputy Team Manager required

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Manager to join our Community Adult Social Care service at an exciting time of improvement and transformation.

This is a key leadership role where you will manage a multidisciplinary team, providing strong operational and professional leadership to ensure high-quality, person-centred practice. You will oversee complex casework, deliver effective safeguarding responses, and drive performance across assessment, review and care planning functions under the Care Act 2014.

You will play a critical role in supporting people to achieve independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes, while ensuring risk is managed appropriately and proportionately.

What you will do

• Lead, manage and develop a team of social workers and practitioners
• Provide oversight of complex cases, safeguarding enquiries and risk management
• Ensure timely and high-quality Care Act assessments, reviews and care planning
• Drive performance, quality assurance and continuous improvement
• Support workforce development through effective supervision and leadership
• Work collaboratively with partners across health, housing, providers and the voluntary sector
• Contribute to service development and transformation priorities

About you

We are looking for a confident and resilient leader who:

• Is a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Has significant experience within Adult Social Care, including safeguarding
• Has proven experience of managing staff and leading teams
• Demonstrates strong decision-making, risk management and professional judgement
• Can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
• Is committed to strengths-based, person-centred practice
• Has the ability to build effective relationships across services and agencies
