About the Role: 

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). You will play a key role in safeguarding children by screening referrals, assessing risk, and working collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure timely and effective decision-making. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Screen and triage referrals into Children’s Services within the MASH environment 

• Conduct thorough risk assessments and make evidence-based decisions 

• Gather and analyse information from partner agencies including police, health, and education 

• Identify safeguarding concerns and respond in line with statutory guidance 

• Maintain accurate, timely case records and reports 

• Participate in multi-agency discussions and strategy meetings 

• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation

Requirements: 

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England and/or Social Care Wales registration 

• Experience working in children’s safeguarding or frontline services 

• Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills 

• Knowledge of UK safeguarding legislation and frameworks 

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Previous experience within a MASH team 

• Knowledge of local authority systems and procedures
