About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Adults Learning Disabilities Social Worker to join our dedicated Adult Social Care team. This role focuses on supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs to live independent, fulfilling lives while safeguarding their wellbeing. You will carry out statutory duties under the Care Act, complete strengths-based assessments, and collaborate with service users, families, and professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Care Act assessments, reviews, and support planning
- Promote independence and person-centred care
- Manage a caseload of adults with learning disabilities
- Undertake safeguarding enquiries (Section 42)
- Work with multi-agency partners
- Support transitions into adult services
- Maintain accurate case records
- Apply MCA and DoLS legislation
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker (BA/MA Social Work)
- Registered with Social Work England
- Experience with learning disabilities
- Knowledge of Care Act, MCA, safeguarding
- Strong communication and caseload management skills
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience with autism and complex needs
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support
- Multi-agency working experience
- Familiarity with case management systems
