About the Role: 

We are seeking a dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities team within Children & Families. This role focuses on delivering high-quality support, safeguarding, and care planning for children and young people with disabilities and their families. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Manage a caseload of children with disabilities, ensuring timely assessments, reviews, and care planning. 
• Undertake statutory duties under the Children Act and related legislation. 
• Work in partnership with families, schools, healthcare professionals, and multi-agency teams. 
• Conduct child protection investigations and contribute to safeguarding processes. 
• Develop and implement care plans tailored to the child’s individual needs. 
• Advocate for children’s rights and promote positive outcomes. 

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) 
• Registered with Social Work England 
• Experience working with children with disabilities or within a similar setting 
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding frameworks 
• Strong assessment, communication, and analytical skills
