About the Role: 

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Advanced Practitioner to join our C&F (Children and Families) Fostering Team. This is a critical role focused on delivering high-quality fostering services, supporting foster carers, and improving outcomes for children in care. The successful candidate will bring expert knowledge in fostering practice, safeguarding, and child protection. 

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide advanced-level support and supervision to fostering social workers and foster carers. 

- Lead on complex casework involving children in foster placements. 

- Ensure compliance with fostering regulations, national standards, and safeguarding policies. 

- Mentor and coach team members to enhance professional development. 

- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners including health, education, and legal services. 

- Contribute to service development and quality assurance within the fostering team. 

- Support recruitment, retention, and assessment of foster carers. 

Requirements:

- Qualified Social Worker (Degree in Social Work or equivalent). 

- Registered with Social Work England. 

- Significant post-qualification experience in fostering or children’s services. 

- Strong knowledge of fostering legislation, safeguarding frameworks, and child protection. 

- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. 

- Experience in supervising or mentoring staff.
