About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Assessment and Intervention team within Children & Families services. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role focused on safeguarding children, undertaking timely assessments, and ensuring the best outcomes for children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake Child and Family Assessments in line with statutory frameworks and timescales
- Manage a varied caseload including Child in Need, Child Protection, and initial court work
- Respond to safeguarding concerns through effective duty and triage functions
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies such as police, health, and education
- Prepare high-quality reports for court and case conferences
- Ensure accurate and timely case recording
- Participate in team duty rota and safeguarding responses
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker (BA/MA Social Work or equivalent)
- Registered with Social Work England
- Experience within Children & Families or safeguarding teams
- Strong understanding of UK legislation
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in Duty and Assessment teams
- Knowledge of court processes and legal frameworks
- Ability to build effective relationships with families and professionals
