About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Advanced Practitioner to join our Duty and Assessment Team within Children & Families services. This role is ideal for a skilled social worker passionate about safeguarding children, delivering timely assessments, and driving excellent outcomes for families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complex case assessments and interventions within statutory timescales
- Provide expert guidance and mentoring to social workers and newly qualified staff
- Undertake duty responsibilities including triage and initial risk assessments
- Ensure high-quality safeguarding practice in line with legislation and policy
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners
- Contribute to service development and quality assurance
- Chair strategy meetings and support decision-making processes
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker (BA/MA Social Work or equivalent)
- Registered with Social Work England
- Significant experience in frontline children’s services
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and statutory frameworks
- Proven ability to manage complex caseloads
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
Desirable:
- Experience in Duty and Assessment teams
