About the Role: 

We are looking for a dedicated Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Child Protection (CP) and Children in Need (CIN) Court Work Team. This role focuses on safeguarding vulnerable children, undertaking complex assessments, and progressing cases through court proceedings to achieve positive outcomes for children and families. 

Key Responsibilities: 

- Manage a caseload of Child Protection (CP) and Children in Need (CIN) cases 

- Undertake court work including care proceedings, statements, and reports 

- Conduct comprehensive assessments including risk and parenting assessments 

- Attend and present cases in family court hearings 

- Develop and implement care and child protection plans 

- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners (health, education, police, legal) 

- Maintain accurate and timely case records 

- Ensure compliance with Children Act 1989 & 2004 and safeguarding policies 

Essential Requirements: 

- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration 

- Experience working within CP, CIN, or safeguarding teams 

- Knowledge of court processes and care proceedings 

- Strong report writing and assessment skills 

- Ability to manage complex and high-risk cases 

- Excellent communication and organisational skills 

Desirable Experience: 

- Experience in a Court Work Team 

- Knowledge of Public Law Outline (PLO) 

- Experience working in multi-agency environments
